Applies to the inWaste web platform (app.inwaste.one) and the inWaste Driver Android app (in.inwaste.driver). Last updated: 27 October 2026.
inWaste Technologies Private Limited ("inWaste", "we") provides software that helps districts, blocks and villages manage door-to-door waste collection. Contact: development.inwaste@gmail.com.
To show collection progress on a map, record which villages were visited, calculate driver pay, prepare reports for the district administration, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Your data is visible to the administrators and officers of your own district who use the platform (for example the District Admin, and view-only officers such as the CDO, DC, DPRO or block officers), and to inWaste staff who operate the platform. Different districts cannot see each other's data. Data is stored on servers in India (AWS Mumbai) and transmitted over HTTPS. We share data with others only where the law requires it.
Work and location records are kept while the district's service is active so that reports and pay can be checked. When a district stops using the platform, or when you ask, we delete or anonymise the data as set out below.
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to delete your account, by writing to development.inwaste@gmail.com from your registered phone or email and stating your username. We will reply within 30 days. Records that a district needs for payment or audit may be kept in anonymised form. You can switch off location at any time in your phone settings, but the route cannot then be recorded on a phone-tracked vehicle.
The platform is for working adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Questions: development.inwaste@gmail.com.
